Building Nature Into Architecture – Nottingham

Frank Lloyd Wright advised us to study, love and stay close to nature. He didn’t just copy forms from the natural world, but used nature as his supreme inspiration.

Following on from a SELL OUT event in Manchester with Manchester Society of Architects , the Wood Window Alliance have joined forced with Nottingham and Derby Society of Architects (NDSA) to bring the lecture series ‘Building Nature Into Architecture’ to Nottingham. Alexandra McCartney from Hopkins Architects is already a confirmed speaker and will be exploring the well-being and sustainability benefits of using timber in buildings, with a key focus on the Alder Hey Children’s Hospital: Institute in the Park project.

Taking place on Thursday 14th November 2019 in Nottingham, Building Nature Into Architecture is open to architects, planners, developers and contractors across all commercial and residential specialisms. Tickets are FREE and are allocated on a first come, first served basis. For a taste of what to expect, watch the short video from the Manchester event.
