Bi-fold Doors

Bi-fold doors, particularly those made from timber, have become one of the ‘must-have’ additions to extensions and new builds. Timber bi-fold doors can transform a room by providing a sense of space, light and uninterrupted views of the outside.

They are an ideal solution for open-plan living. Featuring door leaves which concertina to one or both sides of the frame, they create a wide, seamless transition with the outside.

Between them, members of the Wood Window Alliance (WWA) offer both timber and aluminium-clad timber bi-fold doors. Both are made to the highest security and weather performance standards, with the option of double or triple-glazing.

With a number of configurations to choose from, available in multiple sizes and opening inwards or outwards, our members can provide perfect solutions for even the most challenging of briefs. To suit the style of the property an extensive choice of stain and paint colours are offered, with many providing a colour-matching service.

Many also offer the option of integral blinds and solar-efficient glass. And for acoustic performance, they can advise on the most appropriate glass configurations.

Guaranteed performance

Like all products supplied by our members, timber and aluminium-clad timber bi-fold doors are provided with supplier-backed guarantees. Typically these include 30 years for the frame, 10 years for the glazing and hardware and 8 to 10 years for the paint coating.

For the manufacture of bi-fold doors our members offer a choice of hardwood, all sustainably sourced from well-managed forests with either FSC® or PEFC™ Chain of Custody certification. In addition, many offer Accoya® which is ideal for properties located in extreme conditions, such as on the coast.
